An update for the HTC Hero smartphone will be added to the company’s support site in the next few weeks according to Slashgear. They were able to confirm that the update will “will make your experience on your Hero device better”, without detailing exactly what the update will address.
“HTC will be providing a software update for the HTC Hero, which will be available via the HTC website in the coming weeks,” read the HTC statement. A sensible guess would be that the much mentioned ‘lag’ issue will be addressed, by improving the performance.
In fact, the HTC rep talked of two updates. “A partial update is ready in 10 days and a major release will be available in mid-September containing local language support.”
