HTC Hero Touch FocusThe upcoming HTC Hero firmware is set to bring several improvements including an overall performance boost. However, it looks like that it will also add touch focus to the camera app. The video below shows that you can simply tap on the part of the picture you want focused. It is believed that it will also bring ISO support up to ISO 800 too. Check out a video below to see this touch focus in action.

Sounds great! I really hate that it focuses only to the center point and there’s no way to re-compose the frame.

What’s the point of adding useless ISO values? With the amount of noise these tiny sensors make even at ISO 200 they might have just as well added ISO 1000000.

Great news, hopefully if they’re reworking the camera apps, we’ll get higher res video? surely a 5.2 megapixel camera could at least manage 640×480!

The most important is to fix the performance issues.
