Booking salesIt looks like HTC has a nice problem on their hands, the HTC Hero smartphone is selling so well, particularly in Europe and Asia, that it causing supply issues at HTC. According to Jack Tong, VP of Asia Pacific, tight production will not end until next month with positive sales momentum expected well into Q1 2010.

We are slowly seeing a number of manufacturers dipping their toes into Android. Acer recently announced its Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered Acer Liquid smartphone and Sony Ericsson is expected to do the same shortly with its rumoured Xperia X3. However, Tong believes that it will maintain its leading Android position given its expertise in this segment.

Great news that sales ate so good .
This is what we’ve been asking for …. a real open os with great performance and user friendly UI.

IPhone is not even on the same league as Android.

Just wish we had GSM version in USA.

Thanks for the info.

To anyone interested in unlocking Hero on orange UK network.

The only way to unlock your phone so that you can use any sim is by using the “Rebel sim II”
This worked for me sweet.
