Hi Martin,

I am sure that you have found out by now … but sadly the Hero does ‘not’ output audio via the Cradle tels line. I too was disappointed at this as there is no mention in the User Guide to differentiate between HTC models .. and whilst the Hero has a dedicated tels output at the top … this does not provide a simple ‘plug n play’ solution to smooth desktop connection !

Does the HTC Hero send the music out by the USB ? Meaning you don’t have to plug a 3.5mm in the top of the phone? And how to get the music out trough USB, just press play as normal?

I’ve posted some pictures above, but the jist of it is that there is no extra room for the Flexishield case. I did try and force it but the handset wasn’t secure and easily toppled. The only way to use the cradle is via removing any case. Hope it helps.

Just found this site in the last minute, was about to push the buy button for the cradle but as other here I started thinking if it actually would fit with the FlexiShield on, I doubt it will

£30 is a fair bit for me so Id like to have an idea before hand if I’ll be able to hack about a spare top section before spending my hard earned…

It does feel like plastic, but I wouldn’t like to say for sure. If it didn’t fit it seems like it would be the sides that would restrict you connecting the device (with the FlexiShield on). When I get the dock back I’ll happily test it for you!
