Bump app hits Android Market

BumpBump Technologies has released the Bump app onto Android Market. The application allows users to share contact information by simply ‘bumping’ their handsets together. The app originally appeared on the iPhone, where it’s seen good traction. However Android gets the older Bump v1.1 release whereas the iPhone has got the newer v1.2 release.

The Android version supports both contact and photo swapping. It seems like a good app and I promptly downloaded it, however the biggest issue is that nobody else around me has an Android phone for me to test this with! It is meant to be compatible with the iPhone too, but I don’t feel it will really take off until it gets wider support (including Symbian). You should be able to find Bump in Android Market right now.
