Sprint HTC HeroWhilst all HTC Hero owners expectedly wait for the Android 2.0 (Éclair) release, Sprint has announced a “maintenance release” that should hopefully fix a few niggling issues. This includes a long overdue fix on the SMS bug that drains the battery. It will also take care of DST issues.

No target release date for this update has been given although it is expected to launch “in the next few weeks”. Fingers crossed we’ll get the Éclair update by the end of the year too…
