I don’t see why that would be a good thing… Win-Mo (when I used it) Was awful…

I just see the Borders hiding the background…. they don’t bring anything to the table as far as usability is concerned except if you have a fancy background your going to be quite annoyed (luckily I don’t but still think they look rubbish..)

I’ve got to say, I’m excited about the 2.1 update (as I’m sure most Hero owners are). The little translucent boxes around the icons aren’t the best thing in the world, but I noticed on Gizmodo earlier today a picture of an HTC phone running WinMo 7 – Sense UI is present, as are the little boxes around icons.
Possibly HTC is trying to unify the user experience and make one OS indistinguishable from another OS?

I love the original Hero Gui, but Iit is awful. And the button panels simply waist the screen.

Let’s try to be a little logical about this; as a Hero owner there is nothing more anticipated than eclair flavoured android sence. We know its due very soon.

We also know that there are a lot of talented rom programmers out there and that this is the best time for them to get their worker not only noticed but scrutinized.

The thing that strikes me about the video is how badly it is shot. If you got your hands on what they claim, would they not take more time and care to film it properly so that people can see for sure it is what they claim it to be.

As I am writing this on my Hero I’m going to sign off with index finger writers cramp!

Almost completely solid effort, nice tweaks where they’re needed but (sorry) I just hate those icon borders. I hate them so bad I probably won’t upgrade to the new sense unless there’s something amazing with it that I don’t know about yet. Flan perhaps.
