HTC has officially launched the HTC Legend, the company’s HTC Hero successor. I have to say the Legend is one of the most attractive handsets I’ve seen from HTC and possibly one of the nicest Android handsets full stop. It is built from a single block of aluminium and is slightly smaller than the Hero.
The HTC Legend has a 3.2-inch AMOLED multitouch display, Android 2.1, optical joystick and a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset. You’ll also get a 5MP camera and LED flash. It also has a new version of HTC Sense. The new version includes the ability to view all homescreens at once, as we saw in the recent leak. By using the pinch-zoom motion you can view all seven homescreens.
HTC also has a brand new application called Friend Stream. This puts all of your friends Twitter, Facebook and Flickr updates into a single feed. The HTC Legend will land in April 2010 in Europe and Asia in Q2 2010. So far, there is no news on a US launch. Click through for some larger pics of the HTC Legend.

Those buttons pressure sensitive like the Nexus One? Or are they REAL buttons?
If their the daft pressure ones then I’ll leave it be… flash or no flash… lol, also I don’t really care about home screen zoom…. So I’m easily pleased… lol
I like the design, though I’m disappointed with the hardware specs.
As I’m already owning a Hero, the next and only upgrade will be a 1GHz Snapdragon powered device like the Desire or the Nexus One.
Also, as I’m absolutely not pleased with the update policy of HTC regarding the Hero and other Sense UI powered devices (probably because it’s customizations), I probably go for a Android stock device next time (like the Nexus One).
I share M1AU’s feeling. I’ll go with the Nexus One whenever I can get my hands on it. The update policy on the Hero is terrible. The “early” adopters are not getting any reward.
